You will find many debates about freedom, most fueled by students looking for someone to do their philosophy homework.

There is little room for philosophy here, though I have a Quality Of Life (QOL) website that would suit.

Freedly started as my project to teach financial improvement using practical tools that are available to everyone without charge. I realize that many people would also like to contribute, but are happy simply to help other people, or just want to improve their knowledge.

I soon realized that the main thing that stops people doing this is fear. Not lack of talent, or lack of ambition, but fear of failure. Or a feeling of being trapped through lack of experience or expertise. So I am tackling this project from the viewpoint of freedom - whatever is stopping you from moving forward, and improving your life, is a restriction of freedom.

I have a small section about defining freedom if you do not know what is restricting you. Most of Freedly is about financial freedom, so the main focus is on removing lack of knowledge as a constraint that stops you earning more money. However, I have also seen lack of communication skills, and lack of health being offered as reasons for enduring lower standards of living.

Whatever the restriction, we can work to overcome it, and find the freedoms we need. As contributors identify specific restrictions, the Freedly knowledge-base will grow. Each year we will help more and more people overcome the restrictions that hold them back.

So, you have to decide personally what you want to achieve. What do you want to do that you cannot do now? It must be an important personal need, not the whim of a friend, or an idea suggested in a magazine.

First, decide what you want - that is your freedom.

Then, explain what is stopping you from doing it - those are your restrictions.

We build expertise to remove those restrictions.

You can share or sell that expertise as you build freedom.
