What is your personal definition of freedom?

I am writing some articles about personal freedom, to explore how people see freedom and how it affects their lives.

The only discussions I can find seem to be very general, theoretical discussions. But I am interested in personal views, and how people try to escape from traps in real life. The Internet is full of people with encouraging stories about personal financial freedom, but they all seem to be just about making more money, which seems shallow to me.

I have searched on this website, and thought I had found some answers at http://freedly.com/10/freedom-what-is-your-personal-definition/
However, though this seems relevant, it is only general information about how to start finding freedom.

I want to see more personal views about what makes people feel free, and what they do about it.
