Online Freedom Objectives

3. Offline Or Online Freedom Objectives

Freedom Objectives Scope

In the previous stage, you proved your planned Freedom Rewards are realistic. In this third stage we look at Objectives for Online Freedom.

In simple projects, this stage just flows naturally from the Purpose Statement and Realistic Rewards from stages 1 and 2. In bigger projects, we may have choices in the way we reach our goals. We need to make these choices before we move onto the detailed planning of strategy in the next stage. Failure to do so will lead to confused strategies, and we will not be free to produce our best.

Objectives always have a clear goal, and a method for achieving that goal. For example, do we look for online freedom, or offline freedom, or a mixture of the two? We could combine offline household cost saving with online income generation.

With one simple objective, that is obvious from our purpose, and we can go straight to the next stage.

Determine Offline & Online Freedom Objectives

All we have to do with multiple objectives is to breakdown our purpose statement into two or more objectives statements. Essentially, this means that if you are trying to achieve more than one thing, then each of these must have it’s own Objective Statement.

Our purpose might be:

To raise $50,000 in two years to fund our daughters wedding by household cost savings and generating income from our hobbies.

This might become 3 Objective Statements:

1. Save $15,000 from household cost savings over two years.

2. Generate $15,000 from John’s painting hobby by selling 10 pictures in 2012, 15 pictures in 2013, and running painting classes on Saturdays.

3. Make $20,000 from Carla’s gift-making hobby by working 20 hours per week developing a teaching and sales website.

These may seem like separate projects, but John and Carla have realized that their overriding concern is to raise the wedding fund, and they will both be working together on all three objectives, employing John’s creativity, and Carla’s practical skills, to ensure that the $50,000 is raised.

They will generate 3 separate plans in the next phase, but manage them together to achieve the total financial rewards. Carla will manage the finances, and prepare weekly and monthly reports to ensure they stay on-track.

You can find other examples by searching for objectives or “online freedom” using the search box at the top of each page. You can also ask for help in the financial freedom forum.
